Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Responsibilities

1) Make sure to adhere all NPL processes and role responsibilities/tasks:

-Material Release Management; Expense / Inventory

- Generates Materials Plan

- Supplier Order & Strategy Mgmt; Ops vs. Engineering

-  BOM’s- MFG Build Process with DE/MDE/MFG

- On Time Starts tracking (unreleased / released)

- Make vs. Buy Decision

- Align Cost Tracking with Program

-Generate and follow LT plan with Supply Chain on strategy to reduce all items that are more than 12 weeks LT

- Manage Top materias risks and milestones

- Manages/executes all material transfers to support program plan

-Communicate and make sure financing role the costs for all MAKE levels once BOM’s are completed

  • Attends weekly NPL Ops & OTS Meetings
  • Attend PLC (as required)
  • Aligns materials plan with SSC NPL Rep, OPS Rep & Planning Rep as needed
  • Presents Materials slides at MRR and Phase Exists as required on established common templates

2) Work with (RAPID & BBP) PLC, Master Scheduling, Manufacturing, Engineers, OPS planners and buyer (as needed) as well as Strategic Supply Chain to make sure each NPL program is fully communicated and rolled out smoothly with OPS.

3) Make sure ALL new sub-assemblies are tracked and accounted for on the wave chart and/or Source List. Leverage sub-system managers as needed.

4) Make sure DE (and Supply Chain) is quoting for prototype and volume quantities in the same quote and the same time so we have all the info we need for correct cost and material setup in SAP

5) Ship dates can and will change causing materials plans to change too. Review hand-off dates and ship dates weekly to re-evaluate and update the materials plan of who is ordering what for which tool. This review process does not end until all materials have been handed off to Ops and Ops is driving material for the entire system.

6) Tracking system (inventory, DE orders, on hand, etc….)- maintain the tracker which will have all tool UTID's and all required unique material with the current status and share with OPS/DE team

7) Make sure all new material is properly ECO-ed with correct cost, LT and suppliers info (quote) ready to be loaded in the SAP via Info Record and Source List by the buyer who is assigned in the ECO as the future material procurement owner. Make sure buyer(s) are fully aware of the plan and newer surprised.

8) Inventory transfers (plan with details for material and $$ per quarter…align with OPS planning, financing and inventory controller)

9) Outsourcings; make vs. buy decisions (identify assy’s and align with supply chain on suppliers, timing, etc.…) making sure we receive outsourced material in time per plan.

10) Upgrades plan (if any)- help team to identify correct BOM, follow-up the ECO, identify how many tools and when and share with the team.

11) RMA kits- if any field upgrades, as well as internal upgrades are created, make sure to create removed material re-use plan (list the material and availability vs. reuse timing).

12) Manage TOP material risks and suppliers until ready for sustaining support

Qualifications

Candidate should possess proven Supply Chain and material procurement skills along with excellent communication skills, should be process oriented and results driven. Must have the proven ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, identify gaps and implement innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.

Experience and/or working knowledge of material planning, procurement, ECO, Suppliers negotiation/management, NPI, PLC and SAP experience/processes.

  • Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 8-10 years of experience or Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience
  • 8-10 years materials/procurement experience, at least 3 years in a management role

 

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience. OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.

7-10 years of Supply Chain Experience
7-10 years of Materials/Procurement Experience
