Company Overview

Calling the adventurers ready to join a company that's pushing the limits of nanotechnology to keep the digital revolution rolling. At KLA, we're making technology advancements that are bigger—and tinier—than the world has ever seen.

Who are we?  We research, develop, and manufacture the world's most advanced inspection and measurement equipment for the semiconductor and nanoelectronics industries. We enable the digital age by pushing the boundaries of technology, creating tools capable of finding defects smaller than a wavelength of visible light. We create smarter processes so that technology leaders can manufacture high-performance chips—the kind in that phone in your pocket, the tablet on your desk and nearly every electronic device you own—faster and better. We're passionate about creating solutions that drive progress and help people do what wouldn't be possible without us.  The future is calling. Will you answer?

Group/Division

Enabling the movement toward advanced chip design, KLA's Measurement, Analytics and Control group (MACH) is looking for the best and brightest research scientists, software engineers, application development engineers and senior product technology process engineers to join our team.

The MACH team's mission is to collaborate with our customers to innovate technologies and solutions that detect and control highly complex process variations—at their source—rather than compensate for them at later stages of the manufacturing process.

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Our MACH team develops leading-edge solutions for patterning process analytics and control technologies, thereby providing customers with critical insight at the feature level, field level and cross-wafer analysis. Our teams also develop advanced modeling simulation, data analytics and process control modeling technologies.

As a member of the MACH team, you’ll be joining the most sophisticated and successful process-control company in the semiconductor industry--working across functions to solve the most complex technical problems in the digital age.

Responsibilities

As a valuable contributor to MACH team, you will lead new product development efforts through a cross-functional product life-cycle team. This an exciting time for an IC design-savvy, software product veteran to make their mark by transforming MACH solutions via use of IC design information. You will shape this transformation by:

  • Owning creation of Unified Requirements Document URD and driving PLC program execution to fulfill it.
  • Coordinating sub-PLC activities in accordance with the primary PLC.
  • Regularly updating management and executives about program status, decisions, and outcomes.
  • Interacting with early customers and KLA customer-teams to understand and refine use-cases and value.

Towards ensuring rapid team alignment behind the right product development choices, you will exercise your influence through your hands-on previous experience in:

  • Analyzing various physical IC design data formats using techniques like Design-Rules, Pattern Search, Shape Quantification, etc.
  • Comparing and recommending various data structures and database management approaches for a high-volume semiconductor fabrication application.
  • Evaluating impact of modern data-engineering concepts like Big-Data, Federated Databases, Data-Lake, In-Memory Compute, etc. on a given use-case.
  • Effectively using project management tools like MS Project, Gantt Charts, PERT/CPM, etc. to plan for the overall project, as well as accommodate specific disruptions or hurdles.
  • Clearly highlighting tradeoffs of product requirements Vs schedule and cost to PLC and uses this data to drive decisions.
  • Working with Marketing and Field to create a Unified Requirement Document and roadmap for feature/modules.
  • Leading and coordinating internal research and development activity in fulfilling URD through an optimal mix of Software, Database, Data Flow, and User-Experience.
  • Building a strong rapport within the Division and with the Field teams for effective and efficient product rollout and adoption.

MACH products connect with all of KLA tools in the fab and more. You will ensure the PLC engages with all MACH products, as well as across multiple KLA divisions, to provide a comprehensive solution.

Data and Analytics are recognized as strategic enablers for effective process control. You will contribute to Division and Company level strategic thinking about use of IC Design information in Software products and solutions.

Qualifications
