The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
The Technical Support / Install Engineer 1) responds to issues where first-line product support has been unable to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment 2) Perform system installation, relocation, system upgrades.
We work on analysis of situations or data requiring in-depth evaluation of various factors, exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for acquiring results. Provide Plan of Action (POAs) or if the depth of technical understanding requires, consults with other engineering teams, hosts meetings of multiple teams to discuss the technical issues in detail and settles the best course of action. Go on-site to customer sites to resolve issues following our policy. Create clear documentation for the troubleshooting processes and technical findings during and after issue resolution.
Support worldwide dispatch, work independent in overall capability to support our field teams and customers. Submit daily passdown/report which corresponds symptoms with data/information for remaining issues. Join service meeting to discuss next action plan with worldwide TSE/engineering team.
Assist engineering projects in the regions to support company business growth. Develop troubleshooting, training procedures and best known methods (BKMs). Reporting design, reliability and maintenance problems to the appropriate teams.

Masters or Bachelor’s degrees or equivalent with working experience in global environment.
Working experience in KLA SPx SP1/SP2 or WaferSight/PWG tools is a plus.
Experience in project management, leading/driving multi-disciplined teams to resolve sophisticated issues
Ability of quickly diagnosing problems through analysis of inspection reports, system log files, system parametric diagnostic data and other test results, and provide solutions
No restrictions to travel worldwide.
Average travel 50~75% in average including. Training and field support, etc.
