The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.  The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.


Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products.

  • Interacts with the customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses
  • Develops the instruction based on applicable tasks derived from either Field activity or FMECA
  • Prepares course presentations from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation
  • Works with Engineering, New Product Introduction, Technical Support and Manufacturing to ensure that all course material reflects current product features!
  • Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions!
  • Follows up to determine applicability of course material and updating documentation required to support the hardware and software changes
  • Validates service procedures against training tools
  • Maintains Company’s assigned training tools both hardware and software
  • Installs, configures, qualifies and supports training tools
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs assigned training tools as necessary
  • Ensures all safety protocols associated with training tools are adhered to
  • Main training tools: FaST tools including SS11k, SpectraFilm F1/SS10k-3DF, SS10k, SS9k, Aleris, SpectraFx, and ASET F5x



Preferred 4-6 years of extensive troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, manufacturing, servicing and/or technical training on KLA Surface Metrology and Wafer Handler equipment. This role requires proven problem solving and technical skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in onsite customer service and technical support will be highly desirable.
  • Applicant should be able to show ability to handle high pressure situations on critical issues in unstructured or unexpected environment.
  • Previous experience training engineers or customers will be a plus.
  • Ability to travel≤ 25%
