Group/Division

SPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. SPTS operates across 19 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, and offers comprehensive service and spare parts support through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.

Responsibilities

The Field Process Application Engineer is responsible for supporting all aspects of customer qualification, responding to customer queries and visiting the customer to follow up progress.  Some key activities will include:-

Qualifying a customer

Together with the field team obtaining filed acceptance on customer’s sites.

Sales support

Providing answers to questions from the customer.  Visiting the customer to progress the opportunity through discussion and presentation. 

Develop information sources

Developing contacts at customers, suppliers, analysts etc that can be used as sources of market or competitor intelligence

Product development

Suggesting potential upgrade opportunities.  Identifying weaknesses in the product based on customer needs

The Field Process Application Engineer will provide input and support to customers primary on the PVD products then gradually get more involve on the ETCH and CVD side. The role will require heavy travel mainly in Europe that may exceed 51-75% of total time. Occasional weekend w ork and international travel may also be required for the role. This selected candidate will report directly to the European Application Manager Jafar Al-Kuzee. 

 

Qualifications

  •                     Degree in a technology field preferably PhD/MSc in Physics, Chemistry or Material Engineering
•                  Have three to five years of experience in process in Etch,CVD,PVD
•               Speaking more than one language will be an advantage
