With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.


  • Define architecture and manage implementation of PLC control systems
  • Drive the ground up installation and integrated commissioning of PLC systems, including identification, documentation and programming of complex interlocks, equipment protection systems, fault routines and safety systems
  • Collaborate in the design of electrical of modules, subsystems and harnessing to support the design of whole systems
  • Lead a highly-technical team through the complete design process including: requirements specification, feasibility studies, cost and scheduling, thermal/cooling controls, PLC programming (ie Siemens, Allen Bradley), harness drawings and system schematics, design review presentations, procurement of prototype parts, system integration, prototype testing, and handoff to manufacturing. These tasks will require working with other engineering groups such as mechanical, software, systems, and manufacturing engineers to ensure flawless integration and test at the subsystem and system level.
  • Develop the required supporting documentation, such as assembly and test procedures, and service manuals
  • Work closely with and manage suppliers to ensure all design requirements are specified and achieved
  • Address and resolve product issues through the product phases with strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) with at least 3 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience. OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
