Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • As the Systems manager for our market leading 6XX platform you will work with Program Management, Engineering, Marketing, Applications, Manufacturing, and Service organizations to determine system needs and then guide the system engineering team to deliver.
  • The successful candidate will have strong leadership capability to drive a wide-spread team of development engineers.  This will include determining critical issues and program objectives, defining specific system requirements and design approaches, planning and driving execution and testing to deliver system enhancements as well as solutions to critical issues with deployed systems.
  • The best candidates for this position will be a highly motivated self-driven individual who has broad engineering and scientific expertise combined with strong analytical and execution capability.
  • While primarily working on system engineering for mask inspection systems, the candidate will interact with multidisciplinary engineering teams including electrical, mechanical, optical, algorithm, image computing and software.  

Qualifications

  • Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor's Level Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, etc.) or Science (Physics, etc.)
  • At least 15 years of experience including 5 years of team or project leadership.
  • Strong technical skills in System Engineering, Optics, Image Processing, and Data Analysis.
  • Experience within the semiconductor, analytical instrument, or other relevant industries.
  • Experience with low-volume, high-complexity, high value product development.

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • Doctorate, Master’s, or Bachelor's Level Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Optical, etc.) or Science (Physics, etc.)
  • At least 10 years of experience with some team or project leadership (informal is acceptable).
  • Strong technical skills in System Engineering, Optics, Image Processing, and Data Analysis.
