Group/Division

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.  The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

 

 

Responsibilities

The GSS organization's Engineering group develops the KTTS server and analytic software for improved tool diagnostics and pedictive maintenance service. The data systems monitor the performance of fleets of KLA equipment in semiconductor fabrication plant environments. They provide visualizations, data tables, recommendations based on analytics and alerts, with the goal of providing increased uptime and higher customer satisfaction.

This role is the link between the KTTS development team and the service engineers and customers who use KTTS analysis. This position offers outstanding opportunities to interact with a wide variety of engineers and KLA system health data, and shape the future of KTTS!

Responsibilities

  • Learning: Become highly proficient in KTTS software features, and develop a basic familiarity with all major KLA products
  • Training: Train internal and external customers. Train account teams on methodologies for communicating features and analysis to customers. Draft training materials. Collect and communicate success stories and feedback.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify customer/fab-specific issues which should be addressed to increase success of KTTS products, and help provide solutions.
  • Innovating: Work with product development teams to apply KTTS to their products’ diagnostic requirements. Provide ideas for future KTTS features and improvements. Identify and acquire key data for development projects.
  • Testing: Test new software, and coordinate alpha and beta user testing and results collection

Qualifications

Basic Requirements

  • Experience with data analysis and solving technical problems
  • Excellent communication skills, including technical explanations
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including encouraging learners and contributors
  • Motivated to learn new skills independently
  • Creative problem solver with ability standardize solutions

This job requires interacting globally. In order to conduct videoconferences with other KLA global locations during their normal working hours, at times it will be necessary to flex personal work hours. Once pandemic travel restrictions are fully lifted, must have flexibility to travel within the US and internationally up to 50% to customer sites and KLA offices may be required, based on business needs

Desired

Having some of following types of experience is useful:

  • Semiconductor equipment engineering roles: applications, product, tech support, product design, systems, process, or equipment engineering
  • Delivering solutions face-to-face with customers
  • Providing or developing training
  • Using or designing diagnostics and calibrations
  • Using data analysis software, such as JMP, Matlab, Klarity, or 5DA
  • Computer programming or scripting, such as Python
  • Working in cross-cultural environments

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) OR Master's degree with at least 2 years of experience OR Bachelor's with 3 years of experience, OR equivalent learning through alternative training such as a military veteran in a technical subject area, with 2 years of industry experience.
