Group/Division

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.  The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Responsibilities

KLA Ann Arbor Spares Operation team is looking for a business analytics manager to join our growing Ann Arbor analytics team and manage, besides people, supply chain processes from data collection to building recommendations and plans for business actions, in support of the Spares and Service Supply Chain Organization strategic goals.

  • Oversee the design of analytics targeted towards solving complex business problems and issues. Create processes and systems by leveraging data and systems to increase efficiency through analytics and automation.
  • Foster partnership between spares supply chain and other groups (including cross-functional, cross-regional teams), to design and implement end-to-end supply chain systems, network design, and architecture strategies.
  • Partner with IT and GSS functions in the development of predictive analytics to improve service operations and executive decision-making around spare parts.
  • Identify opportunities for system and tools improvement with the goal of increased agility while reducing total cost-of-service and driving efficiencies in the end to end service supply chain; support design and improvements of automated what if scenario tools to facilitate fast and effective decision making.
  • Understand business requirements for spares operations and translate them into specific solutions. Leads proposals for solutions and implementation of system enhancements for spares operations, such as sophisticated reports (dashboards, and/or reporting software. Share insights and uses business acumen for business analysis models, key operations, and performance metrics design. Facilitate fast and effective business decision making for senior management/leadership by constructing forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.
  • Usher supply chain analytics team and other cross functional team in identifying, evaluating and developing automated systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet requirements

Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in supply chain operations and supply chain improvements in complex manufacturing environment; strong preference for experience in semiconductor equipment industry or other complex, high-mix, low-volume products
  • Experience with multiple aspects of advanced supply chain operations, including:
    • Supply and demand management effectiveness (upturn and downturns)
    • Achieving cost reductions
  • Process oriented with proven experience turning big data into meaningful analyses that lead to actionable results for supply chain operations
  • Strong data and analytical skills and track record for creating predictive systems and processes to improve business performance
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Lead thru curiosity and continuous improvements.
  • Empower staff and talent growth thru delegating; coaching; and skill development extending outside job description boundaries.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills
  • High proficiency in MS Excel; MS Access, Data Base
  • Experience with SAP database and HANA is a plus
  • Background in statistics and probability desired
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other business intelligence/analytical tools/services is a plus
  • Experience with SAP MRP and ERP system is a plus
