Group/Division

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.  The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Responsibilities

KLA Ann Arbor seeks a creative and driven professional for the role of Spares Supply Chain and Operations Specialist to manage supplier performance and lead supply chain projects, in support of the Spares and Service Supply Chain Organization strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Supply Chain:

  • Leverage system and data to lead supply chain management complex problem resolution on new products introductions, cost reduction, value engineering, on time delivery, inventory, excess and no demand and other service supply chain initiatives.
  • Lead cost and lead time reduction projects for spares by collaborating with internal and external supply chain teams across KLA. Identify opportunities for supply chain systems improvements with the goal of increased agility while reducing total cost-of-service and driving efficiencies in the end to end supply chain.
  • Use knowledge on products business requirements, market dynamics and trends, and supply chain base capabilities to support continuous improvements of the spares supply chain data architecture and network design.
  • Manage effectively supplier relations at all levels required: global supply chain enterprise; group, functional, and project level; develop, leads and/or participated in supplier scorecards and business reviews. Represents spares and service business in supplier contracts, SOW, SLAs, NDAs and other supplier agreements; leads or participates in contract renewals and negotiations, as needed and required
  • Escalation point for supply chain issues; collaborates with spares planning and purchasing, factories materials teams, and engineering to resolve long-term material/parts supply issues, such as end or life, obsolescence, etc.

Analytics:

  • Partners with IT and GSS functional teams in development of predictive analytics to improve service supply chain and operations, and in support of GSS operating model as part of GSS S&OP business integrated processes.
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources (KLA internal and external vendors) to deliver value-add data studies in support strategic decision making for GOPS and GSS leadership.
  • Uses statistical concepts to analyze complex data. Identifies and interprets trends and patters in datasets to locate influencer and leads design of predictive models to support and construct sophisticated solutions to supply chain business problems. Makes supply chain solutions recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data, commodity, and market knowledge.
  • Work with advance analytics team to develop data sets and sophisticated reports, dashboard with multiple and different analytics view; dill-down options; dynamic pivot tables and charts, to facilitate fast and effective supply chain and business decision making.

GSS Supply Chain and Operations Leadership:

  • May interact with all levels of senior management, multiple product divisions and suppliers. Stay aligned with strategic supply chain and corporate commodity leads.
  • Participates with other senior leadership and managers in establishing strategic plans and objective
  • Cross-functional change agent; working across organizations’ boundaries with external and internal suppliers and customers to ensure successful adoption.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of materials/procurement/ supply chain experience with at least 3 years in project management.
  • Proven experience in driving service supply chain improvements in complex manufacturing & service environment.
  • BS/BA or Masters’ Degree preferably in field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain Engineering.
  • Experience managing all aspects of advanced supply chain operations, including:
    • Supply and demand management effectiveness (upturn and downturns).
    • Achieving cost reductions.
  • Process oriented with proven experience in process improvement project implementation that lead to actionable results for supply chain operations and business performance.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel; MS Access, Data Base.
  • Strong data and analytical skills focus on creating predictive systems and processes to improve business performance.
  • Experience with SAP MRP/ERP system and Ariba, is a plus
    Experience with SAP database and HANA, is a plus.
  • Experience and /or background in statistics and probability, is a plus.
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other business intelligence/analytical tools/services.
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills: ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to support demand and supply optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience. BS or BA, preferably in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management,
  • Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, chart creation, and presentation of data)
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and vendor management systems.
  • Experience and/or working knowledge of material service parts planning and purchasing processes
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills: ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to support demand and supply optimization.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
