Group/Division

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.  The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts technical training courses for customers and/or employees in the use of complex situations for multiple products
  • Interacts with customer and functional organizations to develop specifications for content of courses
  • Designs instruction based on applicable tasks derived from either Field activity or FMECAs
  • Prepares lesson plans from engineering documentation, field service requirements or software documentation
  • Works with Engineering, New Product Introduction, Technical Support and Manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features
  • Instructs participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions
  • Follows up to determine applicability of course material and updating documentation required to support the hardware and software changes
  • Validates service procedures against training tools

Qualifications

  • Maintains Company’s assigned training tool(s) both hardware and software
  • Installs, configures, qualifies and supports training tool(s)
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses and repairs assigned training tool(s) as necessary
  • Ensures all safety protocols associated with training tool(s) are adhered to
  • Masters degree or PhD in Physics/Optics/EE/ME
  • KLA or similar Semiconductor Capital Equipment OEM experience
  • X-Ray or eBeam technology experience in Semiconductor Capital Equipment highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience with Films and CD metrology process control tools
  • System-level troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to travel <= 25%
