Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The Optical Metrology Division products are used for optical overlay metrology. The portfolio of products includes unique solution packages which are based on hardware and software systems to enhance yield and effectiveness. As a world leader in its field of expertise, the division's products are the most advanced in performance (measurement accuracy of nanometers and below), reliability, ease of use and compatibility with other KLA's products.  KLA (Israel) controls over 80% of the world market sales in its field, and its products are used by every major semiconductor manufacturer around the world.  KLA Israel is located in the Migdal Haemek Industrial Park.  

The Customer Engagement team is our field based customer facing organization.  We partner closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, services, software and expertise, to help them manage yield throughout their fabrication process—from research and development to final volume production.   Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends.  Partnering with our service organization and factory divisions, this diverse and dynamic team helps ensure alignment between customer needs and corporate roadmaps to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

 

Responsibilities

The Field Applications Technician will be responsible for supporting and operating KLA Overlay Metrology products to provide maximum value to the customers.

The candidate is expected to support the following tasks

  • Responsible for providing technical applications support for the operation and implementation of KLA products in customer fabrication facilities.
  • Responsible for executing plans of actions for equipment troubleshooting and measurements for data collection 
  • Support tools installs and qualifications, software installs and engineering projects implementations on large fleet of tools. 
  • Drive collaboration and communication with the customer in the manufacturing facility. 
  • Generate documented reports for internal and customer review.
  • Participates in operational meetings, prepare and present periodic reports
  • Perform product diagnosis by following procedures. Works closely with applications and service engineers to improve product performances and availability for the customer.
  • Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications

Qualifications

  • Technical background in engineering fields, relevant education or work experience in statistics, IT, industrial eng - advantage
  • Able to understand technical documentation involving software interfaces, operating systems and operation flows
  • Background of semiconductor equipment industry or other manufacturing measurement test industry - advantage
  • Able to handle data in excel or similar analytical SW tool, follow workflow instructions to process the data and create reports
  • Able to work in clean room environment
  • Customer facing - must have excellent communication and high customer orientation
  • Candidate must be self-driven and strong team player, enage in problem solving independetly, able to be flexible

Minimum Qualifications

Associate Degree, or relevant training and experience
