Group/Division

SPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. SPTS operates across 19 countries in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, and offers comprehensive service and spare parts support through a worldwide network of service centers and qualified local agents.

 

Responsibilities

This role is focussed on the creation of production worthy Bills Of Materials (BOMs) in Agile PLM, to create new module and system BOMs in line with demand driven from the Production Slot Plan.

The candidate must be detail orientated as the role requires the creation of BOMs that run to several thousand items and contain items of high value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting System Configuration Documents from Product Marketing to create Production worthy BOMs
  • Support and implement changes and improvements in the BOM creation process
  • Work with New Product Introduction team to optimise BOM structures, reduce cost and improve quality.
  • Spotting anomalies and identifying any potential mistakes. Analysing why errors may have occurred and be able to implement preventive actions – the ability to complete and finish tasks is essential.

 

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs or A Level or equivalent.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, work well with diverse groups of people and be able to function independently of direct supervision.  

Experience:

  • A competent user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel and be able to demonstrate an ability to quickly pick up new software packages.
  • Preferably the candidate will have experience of capital equipment BOMs, however extensive and in-depth product training and support will be provided.
