Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management,  Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

As a Global Freight Analyst, you will provide the global operational and analytical support and lead for required data analytics, metric creation as well as operational and financial reporting on the overall transportation network. This is an Operations role in a team that includes Warehousing, Transportation, all modes (inbound, outbound, returns) brokerage, duty and crating.  In this role, you will lead initiatives for evaluating our service network and distribution models, developing standard operating procedures and analysis to devise a transport network & strategy to optimize delivery and minimize cost.

Additionally, you will create and implement tools and reporting metrics to help the Global team manage the business, fully understand the efficiency and cost drivers that enable us to maximize customer satisfaction and value. You will provide financial support to the global logistics team and/or analysis in budgeting, planning, and month end close.  You will perform research, studies and cost modeling to help future business planning decisions, and create reports and summaries as required.

This individual must possess hands-on transport/logistics operational knowledge as well as excellent analytical and data management skills and technology know-how needed to work successfully in high-pressure, time sensitive situations where customer satisfaction and efficient performance is the ultimate goal.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize transport and logistics solutions for our customers, KLA Corporation and internal business constituents.
  • Pro-actively manage Third Party Suppliers/Forwarders in both operational and contract management as well as performance review, scorecards and improvement plans.
  • Participate in 3rd party logistics and Freight RFP/RFQ’s and support by developing and validating data and cost models. Provide post implementation support and analysis, tracking savings and validating the terms of the new SOW (Scope of Work) and BRD (Business Requirements Document)
  • Ensure performance of Global 3rd Party Freight Payment auditor which includes validating processes, controls, reporting and audits that are in place according to contract. This role will be the company-wide accountable person for managing this supplier globally.
  • Develop best practices to drive consistency, standardization and value to the business.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage appropriate logistics operational and business metrics to meet or exceed performance requirements.
  • Develop, monitor enhance planning and forecasting models for Operations transactional Customer shipment volumes (Spares), return and repair shipments, finished goods delivery based on service level modes and volume tier pricing impacts.
  • Support Freight Claims as needed
  • Ensure Global routing guide is established, maintained and companywide compliance is monitored
  • Responsible for departmental monthly spend reconciliation – support fiscal month end analysis and reporting activity as required

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics/Business or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Freight Forwarder and Logistics environment. 
  • Experience in logistics and transport operations in freight, warehousing, courier modes, Inventory, trade compliance, brokerage and third party return.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.
  • Experience with developing project plans, budgets, cost control and predictive cost analytics and driving corrective actions to cost overruns.
  • Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to perform multiple actions across multiple regions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects is required. 
  • Advanced computer and analytical/problem solving skills and presenting solutions
    • Strong data analysis, and Excel and Access skills
