The Global Customer Organization (GCO) is our field based, customer facing organization consisting of Sales, Marketing, Applications, Finance, Human Resources, Facilities & IT.  They partner closely with our customers to provide a comprehensive portfolio of products, services, software, and expertise, to help them manage yield throughout their fabrication process—from research and development to final volume production. 

Responsibilities of this group include maintaining strategic client relationships, identifying and closing sales opportunities, ensuring our products meet performance capabilities & expectations, providing critical solutions for improved yield performance, and collecting requirements for future products by understanding customer processes and technology trends. This diverse and dynamic team partners with KLA’s service organization and factory divisions to help ensure alignment between customer needs and corporate offering to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.



Magaes customer engagements in the area of thin films and OCD metrology. Such engagements includes introduction of state-of-the-art KLA metrology equipment to solve customers metrology problems. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.  Provides guidance to direct reports within the latitude of established company policies. Candidate is expected to hold KLA values and works towards ensuring customer success. Must operate within the existing policies of safety at both KLA and customer sites, hold confidentiality of KLA and customer information and practices and strive to exemplify such policies.

Works on highly technical issues of diverse thin film metrology scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends. Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Acts as advisor to direct reports to meet schedules and resolve technical problems. Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements. Candidate is expected to interact heavily with Product Division engineering, manufacturing and marketing teams, work very closely with the the assigned Business Unit sales and service.

Often must lead a cooperative effort among members of a project team.  Manages, either directly or through direct reports, the coordination of the customer engagement activities with responsibility for results, including costs, methods and staffing.



PhD degree in physics or engineering with minimum five years work experience in thin film and optical CD metrology. 

  • Extensive management experiences in the areas of application development of optical CD & thin film metrology
  • Strong leadership and ability to manage engineering projects and drive engagements with customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated records of developing and keeping good customer relationship
  • Excellent knowledge on the latest semiconductor manufacturing processes, metrology products, IC fab process control, and data analysis & modeling
  • Good understanding of product life cycle (PLC) process
  • Familiar with the operations of global IC manufacturers.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and matrixed team environment.
  • Has strong verbal and written English communication skills.


Minimum Qualifications

PhD degree in physics or engineering with minimum five years work experience in thin film and optical CD metrology, or equivalent experience.
