Group/Division

The Instruments Group is focused on development of advanced inspection and metrology equipment used in high-volume production and research and development environments. Organization is globally located in US, China, and Singapore. The Instruments Group provides mission-critical cost-effective solutions for power electronics, LED, communications, automotive, data storage, and other related nanoelectronics and materials science applications. We partner with our customers to provide advanced hardware and software solutions to enhance yield and lower overall production costs by supplying world-leading inspection, metrology and review systems. In addition to developing valuable product solutions, the Instruments Group provides support to customers to achieve performance entitlement through sharing and implementation of application BKMs (Best Known Methods).

 

Responsibilities

Develop algorithms for defect detection and classification in SiC substrates and Epi layer. The role will closely interface with other members of the Engineering, Algorithm and Application teams. The candidate should demonstrate ability to develop complex data analysis algorithms, software codes that can be used by others, understanding of experimental data analysis, and ability to guide others.

  • Designing, developing, modifying and diagnosing complex algorithms, utilizing C#, C++, R, Python, Matlab or other tools and languages
  • Ability to invent, develop and implement new algorithms and ideas
  • Statistical analysis, modeling and optimization methods
  • Experience with machine learning, Python, Tensorflow
  • Signal and image processing, computer vision and machine learning
  • Hands-on experience in object-oriented and functional programming
  • Hands-on experience with products such as JMP, R, Python, Matlab is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelors + 1 Year experience or Masters in Engineering or related area

 

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors + 3 years' experience or Masters in Engineering or related area
