The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.
Responsible for conducting technical training courses for customers and employees to perform repair, maintenance, operation, troubleshooting and upgrades.
Instruct participants in both classroom lectures and laboratory sessions. Follows up to update the course material.
Interface with customers and functional organizations to develop training course content.
Prepare lesson plans from technical documentation and through discussions with stakeholders.
Maintain assigned tools and equipment in best possible condition and perform regular health checks and upgrades.
Work with engineering, technical support, and manufacturing to ensure that course material reflects current product features.
Support the field, install, product support, manufacturing or other technical functions and extend expertise where needed.
Work on medium to extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variance factors.
Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
The preferred candidate will have 10 years or more experience in repair, servicing and maintenance, or manufacturing of optical wafer inspection equipment, primarily on Ebeam tools.
Strong technical skills on two or more of eDR70xx/71xx/72xx/73xx product families preferred. Proven experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving customer issues.
Strong experience supporting customer issues for Semiconductor wafer inspection equipment. Direct relevant experience on eDR7xxx tools highly preferred. Experience with Electrron Beam technology and high vacuum systems required.
Prior experience in providing technical training on semiconductor wafer inspection or metrology equipment is highly desirable.
A bachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical, electronics or equivalent.
Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience, OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
