International Shipping/Traffic Administrator

Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Responsibilities

 


Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Responsible for planning, coordinating and scheduling of international air shipments and or domestic shipments including specialized handling of highly sensitive hi-tech equipments, inspection systems and parts.  Responsible for the preparation of all required shipping documents for assigned regions or customers. 

 

Qualifications

Candidate must have strong clerical skills that will include filing, telephone etiquette, order follow-up, and paperwork organization. Must be computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook and SAP). Candidate must have great communication skills and be able to interact with various people in the organization to achieve common goals. Interact with outside service providers and communicate information received to various stakeholders internally and externally. Candidate must be able to take direction from established Logistics Administrators.  Candidate should be analytical; being able to ascertain possible issues and drive for solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

 


Qualifications:

B.A. Degree required and or minimum 5 years experience in international shipping/traffic operations.  Basic knowledge of U.S. export regulations and experience in the preparation of export shipping documentation.  Basic knowledge of US import requirements. Ability to schedule and monitor shipments and have service providers implement special handling instructions for very sensitive equipments and inspection systems. Good analytical skills is a must. Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Familiarity with SAP preferred. Hazardous Material certified a plus.  Candidate should have great communications skills and work ethics. Ability to not only multi task but to prioritize work effectively and efficiently.
