The Instruments Group is focused on development of advanced inspection and metrology equipment used in high-volume production and research and development environments. Organization is globally located in US, China, and Singapore. The Instruments Group provides mission-critical cost-effective solutions for power electronics, LED, communications, automotive, data storage, and other related nanoelectronics and materials science applications. We partner with our customers to provide advanced hardware and software solutions to enhance yield and lower overall production costs by supplying world-leading inspection, metrology and review systems. In addition to developing valuable product solutions, the Instruments Group provides support to customers to achieve performance entitlement through sharing and implementation of application BKMs (Best Known Methods).
Mechanical design engineer will be responsible for the mechanical design of automated optical wafer inspection systems. The candidate will assume responsibility for the next generation design, fabrication, performance characterization, and technical interaction with vendors. Will be responsible for complete design process, including requirements specification, feasibility studies, analysis and FEA modeling, conceptual and detailed design using SolidWorks, detail drawings, design review presentations, procurement of prototype parts, support prototype testing and system integration, and handoff to manufacturing. Will take projects from design concept through manufacturing build, and will document and address all issues thru the product phases
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.
Master's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 2 years of experience
