SPTS wafer processing solutions include market-leading silicon etch, dielectric etch, dry-release etch, PVD, PECVD and molecular vapor deposition (MVD®), available with a range of wafer-handling options applicable to R&D, pilot production, or volume production environments. SPTS is headquartered and has its main manufacturing facility in Newport, UK, with additional manufacturing in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Working as part of our ECD (Electrochemical Deposition) team, the primary responsibilities of this role will be to develop hardware for bump electroplating.
This will involve generating new hardware concepts/designs, liaising with external project partners/suppliers and carrying out hands-on hardware testing. Additional responsibilities will include writing technical documents for both internal and external use.
The successful applicant will be joining a project which could herald a completely new product type for the company. Success would trigger the formation of a whole new department hence there is potential for rapid career progression.
Qualifications & Experience
Applicants should be educated to a minimum of degree level in a science or engineering discipline. Applicants should have experience of CAD across a broad range of mechanical and electromechanical applications. Preference will be given to candidates with good working knowledge of Solid Edge Software (ideally >2yrs experience) and experience of large complex systems with a high degree of interdependency between components.
