The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.  The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.


  • Create processes and systems by leveraging data and systems to increase efficiency through analytics and automation.
  • Lead and help architect supply chain analytics, including cross-functional, cross-regional teams to design and implement end-to-end supply chain systems, network design, and architecture strategies.
  • Partner with IT and GSS functions in the development of predictive analytics to improve service operations and executive decision-making around spare parts.
  • Identify opportunities for system and tools improvement with the goal of increased agility while reducing total cost-of-service and driving efficiencies in the end to end service supply chain; support design and improvements of automated what if scenario tools to facilitate fast and effective decision making.
  • Uses statistical concepts and theories to analyze and collect data and construct solutions to business problems. Performs complex statistical analysis on business data to validate and quantify trends or patterns identified by business analysts. Constructs predictive models to support data analysis or product functions; verifies model and algorithm effectiveness based on real-world results
  • Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.
  • Supports efforts to create diagrams and evaluations of existing processes. Provides data and supports gathering of business requirements to create Use Case and to prepare Business Requirements Document (BRD) and reports. 
  • Serves as liaison between Spares and Service Ops, IT and IT software development teams by
    • Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating and developing automated systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet user requirements
    • Participating in the designs of details of automated systems; may provide consultation to users in automated systems and may lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues.
    • Participating in BRD creation, user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and collection & documentation of system and/or software incidents (Nonconformance reports).
  • Understand business requirements for spares operations and translate them into specific solutions; support proposals for system enhancements for spares operations, and drive projects to implementation. May directly develop data sets and sophisticated reports, dashboard, and /or reporting software with multiple and different analytics view; dill-down options; dynamic pivot tables and charts, to facilitate fast and effective business decision making


  • 7+ years in supply chain operations driving service or supply chain improvements in complex manufacturing environment
  • BS/BA or Masters’ Degree preferably in field such as Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Engineering
  • Strong preference for experience in semiconductor equipment industry or other complex, high-mix, low-volume products
  • Experience managing all aspects of advanced supply chain operations, including:
    • Supply and demand management effectiveness (upturn and downturns)
    • Achieving cost reductions
  • Process oriented with proven experience in process improvement project implementation that lead to actionable results for supply chain operations and business performance
  • High proficiency in MS Excel; MS Access, Data Base
  • Strong data and analytical skills focus on creating predictive systems and processes to improve business performance
  • Proven experience with one of the following programming languages required (C, C++, R, Python).
  • Experience in SQL, shell scripting and Unix/Linux command-line tools.
  • Experience with SAP database and HANA is a plus
  • Strong background in statistics and probability
  • Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other business intelligence/analytical tools/services is a plus
  • Experience with SAP MRP and ERP system is a plus
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills: ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to support demand and supply optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience. BS or BA, preferably in a relevant field such as Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Data Analytics
  • Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, chart creation, and presentation of data)
  • Proven experience with one of the following programming languages required (C, C++, R, Python).
  • Experience in SQL, shell scripting and Unix/Linux command-line tools.
  • Background in statistics and probability
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Be process-oriented and results-driven, and focused on continuous improvements
