MicroSense, a KLA Company, located in Lowell, Massachusetts, is a global leader in precision measurement and metrology systems for Semiconductor, Data Storage, Solar, Automotive, R&D and other markets. We provide an entrepreneurial and flexible work environment, in a family-friendly, small company atmosphere. 



  • Manages day-to-day production planning for their production lines / categories.
  • Processes ERP output, schedules work orders in a timely manner to support demand.
  • Track work order shortages and expedite material. Additionally, the candidate will be required to maintain the physical movement of product throughout the shop (Kit pulls, shippers, movement of parts to stock/QA)
  • Expedite production materials that meet: quality, delivery and cost goals that align with our customers’ expectations, in accordance with company policy and procedures.
  • Follow up on purchase orders, quotes and bids for production material; prepare summary and comparison documentation.  Place purchase orders as needed to assist the department.
  • Initiate and follow through on any supplier date changes and document in appropriate fields in the system. Work through appropriate channels to resolve issues and get material delivered on time.
  • Assist and facilitate the prompt disposition of non-conforming materials from assigned commodities.
  • Communicate supplier performance including supplier visits as required.
  • Work with production department representatives to develop clear product needs.
  • May need to support other areas in the materials department as needed.





  • Requires the ability to understand and adhere to all laws pertaining to procurement.
  • Ability to understand specs.
  • Experience using ERP required. SAP and MPS experience preferred.



Minimum Qualifications

Associates degree minimum and 5 years of expediting, buying, and planning experience. Bachelors degree preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates with no degree and minimum of 10 years requisite experience.
