KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management,  Global Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Job Summary:

 

As a Senior Global Logistics Analyst, you provide the global analytical support and lead for required data analytics, metric creation, and operational and financial reporting.  This is an Operations role in a team that includes Logistics Warehousing, Transportation, (inbound, outbound, service and finished goods) brokerage, duty and crating. In this role you will report to the Senior Director of Global Logistics and lead initiatives for evaluating supply chain distribution models, planning, procurement, inventory and repair product Logistics strategies, participating in the design of logistic processes and procedures, and analyzing the global operations logistics network to help devise a logistics network & strategy to optimize delivery to customers.

Additionally, you will create and implement tools and reporting metrics to help the Global team manage the business, fully understand the efficiency and cost drivers that enable us to maximize customer satisfaction and value. You will ensure effectiveness of Global team operations with adherence to consistent reporting and measurement practices across the Global Service and Ops Logistics teams, inclusive of Logistics related SOX processes, controls and compliance. You will assist in driving initiatives that enhance the overall Operations Logistics performance and cost by working collaboratively, analyzing and developing logistic plans that support our annual goals and objectives. You will ensure low cost transportation and warehousing through analysis and research of transportation methods, review audited results of provider costs and reviewing performance. You will provide financial support to the Finance team and/or analysis in budgeting, planning, business processes, or reporting to a portion of a functional organization or to more senior Operational and Finance staff.  You will perform research, studies and financial cost modeling to help future business planning decisions, and create reports and summaries as required by business drivers. 

This individual must possess hands on logistics operational knowledge as well as excellent analytical and data management skills and technology know-how needed to work successfully in high-pressure, time sensitive situations where customer satisfaction and efficient performance is the ultimate goal.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and optimize logistics solutions for our customers, KLA Corporation and internal business constituents and develop best practices to drive consistency and value to the business.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage appropriate logistics operational and business metrics to meet or exceed performance requirements
  • Deal directly with Third Party Suppliers in both operational and contract management and performance review and improvement plans.
  • Develop, monitor, and enhance planning and forecasting models for Operations transactional Customer shipment volumes (Spares and Finished Goods), return and repair shipments, and logistics mode and volume tier impacts.
  • Ensure performance of Global 3rd Party Freight Payment Provider ensuring processes, controls, reporting and audits are in place according to contract.
  • Responsible for departmental monthly spend reconciliation – support fiscal month end analysis and reporting activity as required
  • Prepare and drive operational, inventory and financial cost metrics in support of key decision making.
  • Acts as a liaison by providing financial and operational reporting support to all functions within their region, and, as necessary dealing with vendors, suppliers, carriers and customs brokers

Participate in 3rd party logistics and Freight RFP/RFQ’s and support by developing and validating data and cost models. Provide post implementation support and analysis, tracking savings and validating the terms of the new SOW. 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in logistics operations in freight, warehousing, courier modes, Inventory, SOX compliance and third party return experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required.
  • Prior experience with developing budgets and controlling costs.
  • Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to perform multiple actions across multiple regions.
  • Advanced computer and analytical/problem solving skills and presenting solutions
  • Expert level data analysis and Excel skills.
  • Experience with developing project plans, budgets and predicting project costs and driving corrective actions to cost overruns.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Logistics environment
  • A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree, or equivalent experience in a Logistics environment. 
  • Expert level Excel, Access and Microsoft Office applications user.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects is required.
  • Staff management experience
