Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex system interaction issues between a wafer handling unit and on an advanced optical wafer inspection tool
  • Develop product specifications using the appropriate statistical methods and modeling
  • Involve in product development through release and will be expected to champion his/her technical solution
  • Provide feedback on design changes by working closely with Development Engineering teams (M.E., E.E., and S/W Eng.) and creating ECO and documentation as needed
  • Provide fly and fix support on field escalations for analysis/resolution on any issue requiring in-depth design know-how on the product and support beta testing at customer sites
  • Review marketing requirements, develop system critical design specifications and design test methods.

Qualifications

  • Master/Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related fields
  • Entry level candidates are welcomed, 5 or more years of experience in System Engineering will be advantageous
  • Ability to read technical drawings, understand BOMs, and use a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments
  • Must possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to support technical issues, set-up experiments, and perform data analysis
  • In-depth understanding of optical, mechanical, electrical, and software components involved in the design and development of optical-based, semiconductor inspection equipment or equivalent is a plus
  • Expected to travel up to 25% of the time
