Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Software Quality Engineering (SQE), Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. These differentiate KLA not only in WHAT we do, but also in HOW we do it.

Responsibilities

This position is for a DevOps Engineer who will be supporting our CI/CD Infrastructure and other configuration management activities. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Automate builds, and develop and integrate new tools to support CI/CD (continuous integration/delivery) and reporting across projects in various environments like on-premise cloud, Azure and AWS
  • Develop and maintain well architected build scripts and Integrate new tools/plugins to support CI (using Jenkins)
  • Collaborate with software development to improve build pipeline
  • Support source code management tools like RTC/GIT/GIT-Hub for a team of 30+ software developers
  • Support install activities using containers (Docker), RPM and InstallShield
  • Monitor and support daily Builds and timely release of Hotfix packages
  • Manage build environment, and software releases for various product branches on a daily, weekly, and scheduled basis
  • Define, maintain and manage software configuration management and deployment processes for various products

Qualifications

Experience: Required:
  • Strong knowledge of source repository administration with tools like GIT-Hub, RTC or GIT
  • Strong scripting language experience in one or more - Perl, shell, command script, python groovy
  • Experience of Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins/Hudson for pipeline management
  • Experience with Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and Cloud (on-premise/Azure/AWS) technologies and configuration management (Puppet, Chef)
  • Experience with Software Application packaging like InstallShield, RPM, Docker or similar tools and artifacts management like Artifactory or similar
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory / LDAP
  • Working knowledge of Build Releases in various languages, like C/C++/C#, Java, python in continuous integration environment
  • Working knowledge of tools like static/dynamic code analysis (e.g. Sonar, Coverity), code review, etc. and how to integrate with code base
  • Knowledge of application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic or similar
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools to support DevOps role
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

 

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience.
