Group/Division

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support.  The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

Responsibilities

KLA Ann Arbor is seeking a talented and motivated individual for an internship position, working within the spares supply chain and operations group on Survival Curve Optimization Project.
  • Review, modify and develop (as needed), algorithms and statistical analysis for predictive data analysis and modeling.
  • Use historical data for data modeling and producing predictive results
  • Successfully support project completion, followed by performing a demo and sharing recommended improvements to senior management
  • Work with cross functional teams
  • Successful candidate will obtain experience with data analysis through all phases from project development to real-life implementation

Qualifications

  • Pursuing BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
  • Proven experience with one of the following programming languages required (C, C++, Python, R, or Java).
  • Experience in SQL, shell scripting and Unix/Linux command-line tools.
  • Experience with SAP database and HANA is a plus
  • Strong background in statistics and probability
  • Strong communication and visualization skills; create powerful visualizations to transform data into easily-consumable, actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of and curiosity about latest trends in supply chain and operations, including evaluating and testing new tools, techniques and frameworks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Working towards: a BS/BA degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven coding experience with big data projects.
  • Statistics and Probability experience
  • Expert level with Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be self-driven, and a strong team player
