Group/Division

Filmetrics products serve a broad range of industries and applications, from electronics and semiconductors to optics, biomedical, automotive, and industrial/commercial coatings. The company’s San Diego headquarters is housed in an, open, newly renovated building that provides a pleasant work environment with lots of natural light and fresh air, taking maximum advantage of the San Diego climate. All Filmetrics systems are manufactured in San Diego, and customers are supported through an array of sales offices across the United States and around the world.

 

Responsibilities

Process customer purchase orders beginning with sales order entry to shipping of packages then invoicing to customer

Shipment of customer orders using UPS, FedEx and DHL, both domestically and internationally
 
Execute corporate procedures to comply with export compliance rules and regulations Invoice customer orders in QuickBooks
 
Answer and properly route customer phone calls
 
Update and maintain technical data sheets photos, coordinate photoshoots for new products, and communicate with internal system administrators to update website graphics
 
Coordinate and plan group events quarterly and group lunches as needed
 
Maintain company calendar for domestic and international offices
Other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Detail oriented with the willingness to ask questions to complete the task correctly
 
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate efficiently and interact with a wide range of personalities and management levels
 
Ability to be open to change and the ability to effectively implement change quickly

Strong phone skills are a must

Ability to work productively and accurately when faced with stressful situations

Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Ability to communicate ideas effectively both electronically and verbally

Ability to take ownership and pride in work regardless of the task

Minimum Qualifications

2-5 years of relevant work experience and/or education
 
Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign or similar software is required

Experience with using Salesforce is preferred

Experience using QuickBooks a plus
