Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Responsibilities

  • Sustain & support Operations of multi-disciplinary systems and optical sub-systems.
  • Responsible for optics modules on component level.
  • Design jigs and processes for tool quality improvement, cycle time and cost reduction.
  • Improve parts and processes yield through detailed Failure Analysis, Root-Cause Analysis and developing Corrective Actions to improve the definition of quality and compliance with product specifications.
  • Define and validate optical specs and tolerances for modules and components
  • Evaluate, qualify and implement new vendors for integrated optical components on complex instrumentation.
  • Implement and improve processes to ensure production efficiency and maintaining product quality as per specifications.
  • Support transfer developed new product technology to production during R&D prototype build & participate in material selection and vendor evaluations.
  • Develop test specification, implement and maintain test equipment and processes.
  • Work with customers (internal & external) and hi-end technology parts suppliers.

Qualifications

  • BSC in Engineering / Physics / Optics.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in optical design for multi-discipline system environment.
  • Experience in technical support for complicated optical systems.
  • General knowledge of Optics manufacturing processes
  • Experience - working with testing tools and testing techniques.
  • Zemax, MATLAB, SPC, SIX SIGMA- advantage.
