The Global Facilities and Real Estate group is a corporate organization responsible for the management of all leased and owned property domestically and internationally. The US-based team provides strategic and tactical space planning, construction project management, facilities engineering, site services, security operations, and real estate management for the Milpitas corporate headquarters and all domestic sites.
The Facilities Project manager is responsible to assist KLA divisions with space planning, remodeling, and new construction forecasts and requests. This person will interact with KLA employees and executives to oversee Facilities-related project scope development, conceptual estimating, RFP and bid execution, construction management, scheduling, and project closeout.
This hands-on position requires the following:
Responsible for leadership, direction, and performance of all assigned projects. Supervision and management of contractor operations from conceptual design and planning through construction and project closeout. This includes working with MEP sub-contractors and 3rd party agencies. Help establish relationships with local municipalities to assist in permit processes.
Communicate construction impacts to customers and occupants and keep key teams informed of planned activies. Maintain regular meeting minutes and track project schedule and budget weekly.
Maintain vendor contracts, monthly cash flow statements, project tracking files, and as-built drawings for each assigned project. Prepare quarterly project summaries for executive level presentations.
Work closely with KLA Facilities Operations and EH&S to maintain KLA service and safety standards. Establish oversight to ensure conformance to federal and local regulations and company policies.
Manage small, medium, and large projects simultaneously and ensure work is done in a timely and cost effective manner.
Build and manage relationships with site leadership and business unit managers. Interact frequently with customer and client personnel to determine and meet expectations.
Any other related duties.
Applicant should possess exceptional communication skills and ability to explain concepts to a range of audiences.
Capable of working both independently and in multiple teams. Knows how to multi-task and effectively organize responsibilities to achieve goals and objectives.
Experience in high-tech, fast-paced environment; focused on customer service. Can remain calm and professional under pressure.
Ability to understand data, draw conclustions, and make business decisions that align with budget and schedule goals.
Demonstrate sound common sense and rational thinking. Develop innovative solutions and think both analytically and creatively.
Must be technically competent in MEP systems and able to read construction drawings.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
Master's Level Degree with at least 8 years of work experience. OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 12 years of work experience.
At least 6 years of work experience within Facilities or Construction.
