The SWIFT (Simultaneous Wafer Inspection at Fast Throughput) division is part of the Semiconductor Business Organization (SBO) and consists in an organization globally located in US, Germany, India, and Singapore.
The SWIFT division has the mission to provide cost-effective solutions for high-sampling wafer inspection applications. We effectively partner with field support teams and customers to lower overall fab costs by supplying world-leading high-throughput inspection, metrology and review systems. Our comprehensive product portfolio includes: all-wafer-surface (front side, backside, and edge) macro inspection, standalone high-sampling inspection, and standalone edge inspection and metrology tools that are deployed across several advanced wafer fabs for a large number of applications.
Besides developing valuable products, the SWIFT division provides support to the customers to achieve performance entitlement through the sharing and implementation of applications BKM (Best Known Methods).


  1. Responsible for software development activities using Java and C#
  2. Acquire and demonstrate technical knowledge of inspector software
  3. Participate in end to end product development lifecycle activities
  4. Acquire knowledge of key use cases in defect inspection using SWIFT tools
  5. Collaborate with teams across different geographical zones to develop / deliver software solutions
  6. Work across groups including systems/hardware, marketing, applications and manufacturing on all aspects of software project including requirement definition, design, development, deployment, support and service
  7. Provide technical leadership and be able to support the detailed analysis and tradeoffs for the various solutions
  8. Understand, champion and enforce software development best practices.
  9. Understand, troubleshoot, and drive difficult issues that span whole systems or organizations. Able to uncover root cause and to devise and drive innovative analyses and solutions for complex problems.
  10. Travel to other KLA sites and customer sites on a needed basis


  1. 5+ years of experience with specialization in providing technical leadership with BE/BTech/MS/MCA/MTech
  2. Good academics. BE/BTech/MS/MCA/MTech (CS/Electronics/Physics/ECE degree)
  3. Strong in programming fundamentals, Java & .NET with good software design exposure. Additional knowledge in C++ preferred.
  4. Strong experience in requirements definition, design, development, effective reuse, diagnostics and configuration management
  5. Proven experience in using UML, OOP and OOD methodologies for designing large systems.
  6. Good understanding of Software Design Patterns and strong experience in applying them to software designs.
  7. Good analytical and problem solving abilities
  8. Proven experience in debugging large complex software
  9. Thorough knowledge of SDLC and software engineering
  10. Strong verbal and written communication and team work skills

Preferred Qualification

  1. Knowledge of KLA specific or general semiconductor domain.
  2. Knowledge of different Software estimation methodologies.
