We are continKLA is a worldwide leader in manufacturing scientific instruments.  The Knoxville, TN and Oak Ridge, TN group focuses on manufacturing and distributing nanoindenters, instruments that measure the mechanical properties of materials.  In addition to manufacturing, our team develops new testing techniques and supports customers that need accurate measurements of the hardness and elasticity of a material through contract lab testing.  We are continuously looking to improve our knowledge and understanding of indentation testing in a team environment that meets the challenges of advanced materials development and testing.



**  This position is based in Knoxville, TN  **

Provides reports and data to Applications Engineer for contract lab testing.

Reports the status of laboratory instruments and maintains sufficient levels of consumables for testing.

Works with Applications Engineers in conducting experiments on multiple instruments.

Responsible for tracking and recording the status of laboratory testing and customers.

Aides in marketing and advertising the nanoindentation contract lab via social media and other outlets.


Technical Experience or Associates Degree of Science.

Able to apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.

Able to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice.

Able to follow established procedures on routine work; requires instructions only on new assignments.
