Group/Division

The Corporate Communications group reports to the Chief Strategy Officer.

Responsibilities

As Technical Communications Specialist you will work side-by-side with communications teams and product marketing groups across the company, developing effective communication focused on promoting KLA as a company, and the value of KLA’s products and portfolio solutions, to our customers, potential employees, and other relevant audiences. In this job you will use your company and industry experience, technical background, writing and presentation skills every day. You’ll draw upon your ability to think critically and strategically, your facility in working with individuals and groups, your ability to leverage and build strong collegial relationships with colleagues across the company, and your highly organized, detail-oriented nature.

 As Technical Communications Specialist, you will contribute immediately to many of the projects listed below. You will learn the other elements of the job and refine your contributions by working with experienced technical marketing professionals in the corporate communications group.

Job responsibilities of the Technical Communication Specialist may include:

  • Developing recruiting material to increase KLA’s visibility and appeal across regions and disciplines;
  • Leading product marketing groups to concise, clear top-level and supporting messaging that focuses on value to customers in the context of the competitive environment;
  • Drafting field advisories and other product literature in strong, precise, well-organized prose;
  • Creating visually powerful slide decks that convey product and solution messages simply and cleanly for customers, conference attendees, editors, analysts, potential recruits and other audiences;
  • Drafting, reviewing and editing technical papers, technical marketing articles, product literature and product brochures;
  • Developing text and graphical content for web banners and product posters;
  • Developing technical content for tradeshow booths;
  • Leading product and feature naming discussions;
  • Drafting social media posts in support of technical and other campaigns; and
  • Drafting scripts for product or company videos.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, master's or doctoral degree in physics, chemistry or related science or engineering disciplines
  • 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Organized and skilled at managing multiple concurrent projects to deadline

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physics, chemistry or related science or engineering disciplines
  • 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
  • Organized and skilled at managing multiple concurrent projects to deadline
