Responsibilities

 

  • Perform dimensional analysis on 1st article inbound parts to verify parts conform to internal drawings. This may require visiting local suppliers in the area.
  • Maintain work log used to track inspection throughput
  • Reject OOT parts or report discrepancies & potential non-conformances to Quality Manager for disposition
  • Manage the calibration schedule and coordinate calibration with an outside supplier
  • Put-Away approved parts to stocking locations and rejected parts to reject bins
  • Review documentation for compliance to internal and customer requirements
  • Lead final tool inspections and document and record results
  • Quality leader in division
  • Responsible for ensuring rejected materials are properly marked and stored in rejection bins
  • Advise and lead employees on various safety-related topics
  • Enforce preventative measures
  • Generate Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and accountable for the proper implementation of the Corrective Action Process (CAR).
  • Prepare and present reports on accidents and violations and determine causes
  • Assist in Cycle Count & Cycle Count administration as needed
  • Contribute as needed to Team Warehouse effort – receiving, packaging, etc..

 

Qualifications

 

  • Prior experience with mechanical part inspections
  • Critical thinker with problem-solving skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to make decisions independently
  • Solid communication skills
  • Solid computer skills

 

Minimum Qualifications

HS Graduate or Equivalent with at least 3 years of experience.  An Associates degree in a technology discipline is desirable

Additional qualifications

  • Superior organizational skills
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Proficient with MS Office suite
