Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes.    

BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.

 

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities of this position include:

  1. Provide SW technical support for escalations in various of product life cycle phases onsite.
  2. Interacting with TSMC business unit, GSS (Global Service Support) and customers to address issues and investigate solutions.
  3. Acquire and demonstrate technical knowledge of inspector software
  4. Participate in requirements definition and technical review process
  5. Do requirements analysis, architectural analysis, design, devpt. and unit testing
  6. Acquire knowledge of key use cases in defect inspection using WIN tools
  7. Follow KLA defined software development processes (CMM)
  8. Lead teams to develop key features
  9. Occasional (<=10%) travel to HQ is required

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Object-Oriented software analysis and design using UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling, Java and/or C++ programming, VC++, MFC, .Net and C#
  2. Relevant experience in developing and debugging high-level machine control or distributed HPC software applications. 
  3. Experience in multi-threaded/parallel application development.
  4. Familiar with software development life cycle and software engineering principles.
  5. Knowledge of large scale storage technologies a plus.
  6. Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
  7. Good software documentation skills are required.
  8. Strong communication and team work skills   
  9. Knowledge of CMM or other process models is optional
  10. Knowledge of KLA specific or general semiconductor domain is optional

 

Education:

  1. BE/BTech/MS/MCA/MTech (CS/Electronics/Physics/ECE degree) 
  2. 9+ years of experience with Bachelor degree or 5+ years of experience with Master degree.
