With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.
The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes.
BBP flagship products include the 29xx and 39xx series which leverage Broadband Plasma technology to capture a wide range of defects with ultimate sensitivity at the optical inspection speeds needed for inline defect monitoring.
KLA Wafer Inspections tools process hundreds of terabytes of data every day. This data is used to power our Machine Learning systems, analytics and data visualization used to provide actionable information to our customers. We are looking for a talented leader that can help us design the next generation data architecture for the data powering the Broad Band Plasma wafer inspection systems. We are looking for individuals who can bring in rigor and software engineering best practices into building business critical data pipelines.
As part of KLA's data services team your mission will be to:
• Develop solutions to manage, move, load, save, cache, share data.
• Manage the performance, compression, lifecycle, reliability and availability of data systems
You will be responsible for:
• Data architecture at massive scale and high performance.
• Develop and automate large scale, high-performance data processing systems
• Design the architecture and schemas for the tables and be the technical lead for architecting it to be extendable, testable, maintainable and diagnosable.
• Design data models for optimal storage and retrieval, and optimize the data architecture to meet critical product and business requirements.
• Understand logging and how it impacts rest of our data flow, architect logging best practices where needed.
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 3 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience. OR Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 8 years of experience.
