KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.


  • Direct the development and implementation of activities in: production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost and in the service area to meet the quality, cost and availability requirements of the installed base and the company’s customers
  • Prioritize engineering team assignments and activity schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply for both production and service support
  • Define goals, improves technologies, and resolves problems in conjunction with managers of manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering, and sales
  • Translate customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes, resulting in cost-effective processing and profitable manufacturing of company products
  • Plan and administers procedures and budgets
  • Make budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor
  • Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function

SCOPE: Participate with other senior managers to establish strategic plans and objectives. Make final decisions on administrative or operational matters and ensures operations’ effective achievement of objectives

JOB COMPLEXITY: Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. Participate in corporate development of methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for projects, programs, and people. Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements

DISCRETION: Erroneous decisions will have a serious impact on the overall success of functional, division or company operations

INTERACTION: Regularly interact with executives and/or major customers. Interactions frequently involve special skills, such as negotiating with customers or management or attempting to influence senior level leaders regarding matters of significance to the organization

SUPERVISION: Direct and controls the activities of a broad functional area through several department managers within the company. Has overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, managing expense priorities, and recommending and implementing changes to methods



  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and Master's Degree in a technical field or MBA, relevant experience with 12+ years progressively more responsible experience managing operations and/or manufacturing engineering
  • Must have strong written and verbal skills, and be able to work very effectively across organizational boundaries
  • Must be well organized and professional
  • Must exhibit fast learning skills, project management skills, strong analytical problem solving skills and the ability to absorb and transfer knowledge to others
  • Semiconductor equipment industry experience 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience OR
  • Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience
