Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

This role is within GOPS, located in Milpitas, CA., supporting the supply chain responsible for new tool build, service and tool refurbishment.  The role incorporates needs from DE, NPI as well as other KLA GOPS supply chain teams.

Responsibilities

The Senior Director Global Logistics is responsible for managing and setting strategy for warehouse and distribution for global service parts network.  Role includes staff located in US and Singapore with indirect reports across Asia and Europe. 

Responsibilities includes:

  • Managing third party logistics providers, transportation providers and reverse logistics.   Role includes optimizing operations in warehouse.
  • Important aspect of the role is to stay in tune with sales and marketing to understand future customer requirements and adjust accordingly. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management, 3PL partnership
  • Air Cargo capacity planning, negotiations
  • Freight Invoice Audit and Payment
  • Financial forecasting and tracking
  • Track/improve metrics like OTD, DTS, Cycle Time, etc
  • Manage communication regarding customer targets and logistics commitments
  • Reverse Logistics Management
  • Inventory management – aging, in transit, physical inventory, on hand balance discrepancies 

Qualifications

  • Experience in semiconductor supply chain and procurement. 
  • Knowledge of KLA products and processes. 
  • Knowledge of WMS, SAP, EDI to manage >$300M inventory. 
  • Experience with service supply chain, field support, materials sustainability for service.
  • Greater depth of understanding in Manufacturing and technical aspects across products to assess impacts (pit-falls, ramifications, etc.) and provide solutions beyond the supply chain.
  • Can decide and act without having the total picture. 
  • Can comfortably handle risk and uncertainty.
  • Senior Director/VP experience in a similar industry.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters degree with at least 12 years of experience OR
  • Bachelors degree with at least 14 years of experience
