Group/Division

KLA Corporation is seeking a Senior Tax Manager who will be a vital part of the technology-minded and efficiency-focused US income tax compliance center.  This person will be responsible for supporting the Tax team with the development and management of all aspects of the US tax reporting and compliance processes.  We are looking for someone who can communicate effectively across various functional areas and has excellent hands-on problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.  This individual must be dynamic, focused on process improvement, and be able to work autonomously while still in a team environment.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of the US income tax compliance center.
  • Develop and implement best-practice improvements in the tax compliance process.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of all US federal, state, and local income tax returns including Form 5471s, 8858s, and 1118 plus any election and disclosure statements.
  • Manage all notices and correspondences from federal, state, and local tax authorities.
  • Manage Company’s nexus in the various state and local tax jurisdictions.
  • Manage the Company’s federal, state, and local estimated income tax payments.
  • Manage the Company’s forecast of quarterly federal, state, and local income tax payments.
  • Assist with all US federal, state, and local income tax audits.
  • Assist with strategic US, federal, state, and local tax planning.
  • Assist with the Company’s annual R&D credit study.
  • Track and communicate changes in legislative and regulatory income tax law on federal and state level.
  • Assist other members of the Tax team as needed.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree required, Master's in Business Taxation, and/or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of combined Big 4 and/or industry experience required with focus on income tax compliance.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  • Strong ability to utilize project management and accounting best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with stakeholders.
  • Dynamic and analytical problem solver with goal towards efficiency and process improvement.
  • Advance experience with the Thomson OneSource software suite (Income Tax, Tax Provision, State Apportionment, Estimated Tax Payments, DataFlow, Workpapers, DataQuery, etc.)
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree required, Master's in Business Taxation, and/or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of combined Big 4 and/or industry experience required with focus on income tax compliance.
