Group/Division

KLA Corporation is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst who will be a significant part of the technology-minded and efficiency-focused US income tax compliance center.  This person will be part of a team responsible for preparing all aspects of the US federal, state, and local income tax returns.  We are looking for a dynamic individual who can communicate effectively across various functional areas and has excellent hands-on problem-solving, and analytical skills. 

Responsibilities

 

 

  • Work with other members in and outside the Tax team to gather information necessary to prepare the US federal, state, and local income tax returns.
  • Prepare all necessary federal, state, and local workpapers.
  • Prepare all US federal, state, and local income tax returns including Form 5471s, 8858s, and 1118 plus any election and disclosure statements.
  • Correspond with federal, state, and local tax authorities regarding notices and assessments.
  • Prepare the Company’s federal, state, and local estimated income tax payments.
  • Prepare the Company’s forecast of quarterly federal, state, and local income tax payments.
  • Assist with all US federal, state, and local income tax audits.
  • Implement strategic US, federal, state, and local tax planning.
  • Assist with the Company’s annual R&D credit study.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • B.S. degree required, Master's in Business Taxation, and/or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of combined Big 4 and/or industry experience required with focus on income tax compliance.
  • Strong accounting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
  • Strong ability to utilize best practices to organize and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with stakeholders.
  • Dynamic, detail-oriented, and analytical problem solver with goal towards efficiency and process improvement.
  • Experience with the Thomson OneSource software suite (Income Tax, Tax Provision, State Apportionment, Estimated Tax Payments, DataFlow, Workpapers, DataQuery, etc.)
     

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. degree required, Master's in Business Taxation, and/or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of combined Big 4 and/or industry experience required with focus on income tax compliance.
