eBeam NPI Program Engineer

Group/Division

KLA has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Responsibilities

  • Work with eBeam PLC/Engineering teams to develop Beta/Pilot build plan for new products and ensure accurate BOMs are developed at early design phase.  
  • Participate in technical design reviews to ensure cost targets are tracked/optimized during design development.  
  • Work with Supply Chain Management to develop cost analysis for outsource assemblies.  Support Supply Chain on RFQ, supplier selection, commercial and contract negotiation activities. 
  • Manage engineering materials/tooling designated for support of Engineering and Beta systems, and field upgrades. 
  • Work with Engineering to track/control RPC changes due to design updates.  Support Supply Chain to implement ECO updates with suppliers, ensuring RPC changes are in-line with engineering estimates.  
  • Acting independently, devise and drive innovative analyses and solutions for complex problems.
  • Analyze data and/or utilize modeling to drive process, specifications, and design improvements.
  • Provide manufacturability design requirements to designers.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain processes for system test and trouble-shooting.
  • Setup complex project plans, across multiple resources disciplines, and drive to completion.
  • Provide fly and fix support on field escalations for analysis/resolution on issues requiring in-depth product design know-how and support beta testing at customer sites.

Qualifications

Preferred experience: 

  • Experience with Vacuum Systems, Electron Optics, and High Voltage for scanning electron microscopes or equivalent a plus.

 

Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in systems engineering or related fields.
  • Possess strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to support technical issues, set-up experiments, modeling, and data analysis.
  • Ability to champion his/her technical solutions to manufacturability issues found with the design.
  • Ability to create effective technical presentations up to the divisional level.
  • Experience in NPI program a plus

Minimum Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate in Physics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • OR Equivalent Combination of Experience and Education.
