Group/Division

The vision of KLA’s R& D site in Ann Arbor is to develop innovative solutions that will have an impact across a broad spectrum of semiconductor and electronics applications, including data storage, cloud computing, machine learning and automotive to achieve our strategic growth, customer and operating objectives.   Delivering new products and solutions to the growing automotive electronics industry requires improved device reliability and defect control. The expanding applications of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning are driving strong demand for computer power and memory.  Semiconductor manufacturers serving these diverse needs are turning to KLA's advanced process control solutions and services to help address their complex challenges.  We're confident that we can continue to create and deliver impactful technologies that help enrich the human experience.  Our expansion into Michigan will help us realize this vision. The Ann Arbor site will house functions from across the company and scale to 500 new high-tech jobs in the region over the next five years.  

Responsibilities

The Ann Arbor team is looking for an experienced professional Sr. Site Operations Assistant.  You’ll provide administrative support to the site leader and other department heads, with administrative leadership responsibilities for KLA’s newest site in Ann Arbor.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and experienced individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to different working styles and needs. You will be able to prioritize and multitask with exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality. This position requires an individual who is resourceful and has excellent interpersonal skills to interact in a professional and friendly manner with employees, customers, vendors, and community partners at all levels.

The successful candidate will have a proactive approach with the ability to independently and collaboratively work on a wide range of time-sensitive assignments.  We seek a passionate teammate that will be an integral part of the continued success and growth of the Ann Arbor facility.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Oversight and guidance to other administrative support
  • Create Excel charts, reports, presentations and other materials
  • Manage busy calendars, make travel arrangements, organize meetings and site events
  • Play a lead role in facilitating interviews for candidates (phone, video conference, on-site) including scheduling, travel/lodging, processing relocation and immigration screening requests, and expense reimbursements
  • Facilities coordination, site maintenance, ordering site supplies and processing Fed-Ex shipments
  • Coordinate on-boarding requests, assist with processing new hire forms, assigning cubicles, and working with IT to ensure new employees are up and running on day 1
  • Collaboration with HR Corporate and other Milpitas based organizations while actively utilizing your keen problem-solving abilities as challenges arise
  • Working with the broader team, you will contribute to a fun and creative approach to team needs and activities and be a champion for team morale

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience, is preferred
  • 5 years of experience directly supporting multiple leaders for a multisite organization, international coordination a plus
  • Experience with task management, facilities, day to day business operations
  • Ability to work autonomously on assignments and handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Superb communication skills (oral and written) with a confident, concise, clear and compelling style.  Produce well thought‐out, professional correspondence free of grammatical and spelling errors
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines and taking initiative to make confident and well-informed decisions
  • Demonstrates an ability to anticipate needs and changes, then react with the best interest of the business in mind
  • Excellent organization skills, time management and planning abilities, acute attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships cross-functionally
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Possess a positive “can-do” attitude for all situations, no task too big or too small to handle
  • Extraordinary work ethic while balancing the needs of the individuals and the business
  • Experience planning, managing, and executing large-scale events
  • Experience with project management
  • Ability to interface with a diverse technical group including Engineers and Sr. Management
  • Perform other similar administrative duties, as needed

 

Minimum Qualifications

HS Graduate or Equivalent with at least 4 years of experience.
