Associate Test Engineer

Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing the set-up, optical alignment, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of optical systems, circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies. 
  • Determine and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. 
  • Test and troubleshoot assemblies and/or final systems.
  • May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. 
  • As required, prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. 
  • May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Qualifications

  • BSEE or BSME or equivalent engineering degre an 1 year of Industry experience or Military equivalency
  • Must obtain KLA certification as well as maintain ongoing certification
  • Requires experience in testing digial and/or analog system.
  • Ability to read complicated drawings and utilize mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of precision testing and measuremen instruments
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
  • UNIX and Microsoft Office Proficiency
  • Flexible - Inquisitive Individual that welcomes change
  • Mature - must handle high pressure situations with level headed grace
  • Autonomous - to work in unstructured environments
  • Team player - Work with multiple countries/teams/management levels to achieve deliverables
  • Strong Analytical skills

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical School with at least 3 years of experience.
  • OR Equivalent Combination of Experience and Education.
