The global HR organization includes HR business partners, learning and development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, employee communications, and HR system operations.  

 

 

Responsibilities

KLA is seeking an experienced human resources professional for a short-term project.  The person hired to this role is responsible for developing program requirements, solutions, and an execution delivery plan to onboarding new hires in our newly created site in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This individual will also be responsible for working on other strategic HR projects as needed.  The position is located in Milpitas, CA and will report to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition.

  • Establish the strategy for onboarding new employees in our Ann Arbor location
  • Build strong cross functional partnerships throughout the organization to enable the design and implementation of an effective on boarding program

  • Develop, manage and report out onboarding metrics and analytics

  • Develop a plan for Ann Arbor new hire assimilation and KLA culture adoption

  • Participate in and help drive Diversity and Inclusion Program efforts in Ann Arbor

  • Support any KLA assimilation programs designed to reinforce what the Company is, where we are headed, and what we expect from employees

  • Develop and maintain best practice global onboarding guidelines, procedures, practices, systems, and methodology

  • Make suggestions to improve onboarding activities before and beyond employees' first day new-hire orientation

  • Identify other areas for improved employee communication regarding talent through onboarding programs in Ann Arbor

  • Assist Talent Acquisition team with other strategic projects, including diversity programs for Ann Arbor

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Human Resources or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field with 1+ year of relevant experience

  • Experience working in a global high-tech environment is an advantage

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence key partners at all levels through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building

  • Excellent project management skills and ability to work to deadlines

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent ability to put complex processes into clear recommendations, using data to generate insights and recommendations, and metrics to measure program performance against operational goals

  • Ability to understand complex program requirements and be able to develop solutions and a plan for execution

  • Must be results oriented, self-motivated and be able to remain flexible within a highly dynamic changing environment and still deliver on deadlines

  • Must have exceptional customer service skills, including demonstrated success interacting with both internal and external customers

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and complete tasks independently

  • Perform and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Proficient in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Level Degree with at least 2 years of experience OR
  • Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 3 years of experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
