Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

The Optical Metrology Division products are used for optical overlay metrology. The portfolio of products includes unique solution packages which are based on hardware and software systems to enhance yield and effectiveness. As a world leader in its field of expertise, the division's products are the most advanced in performance (measurement accuracy of nanometers and below), reliability, ease of use and compatibility with other KLA's products.  KLA (Israel) controls over 80% of the world market sales in its field, and its products are used by every major semiconductor manufacturer around the world.  KLA Israel is located in the Migdal Haemek Industrial Park.  

Responsibilities

 

The algorithms group operates in the very challenging environment of the rapidly evolving semiconductor industry. The group designs and develops cutting edge image and signal processing algorithms for complex sub nanometer measurements of overlay and CD. The algorithms needs to be accurate, robust and executed in very high speed. The development of the algorithms is done in close relationship with the development of the optics of the system and with a deep understanding of the physics of the measurements.

 

Algorithms Engineers participate in all phases of product development to enable breakthrough metrology methods and work in a close cooperation with other engineering, applications and research groups, as well as with marketing and customers. The group is responsible for developing measurement algorithms as well as defining system sequences and calibration algorithms to enable sub-nanometer measurements.

 

We are looking for a new leader who can take the group to the next level in terms of creativity and execution.

Qualifications

 

•PHD in Physics/Electro-Optics/Physical Chemistry/Mathematics/Computer Science
•Combination of the Experimental and Theoretical Background
•Highly motivated individual with extraordinary learning capabilities and intellectual flexibility
•Creative thinker
•Experience in management of technological groups of 15-25 people
•Deep understanding in various fields of Physics
•Background in development Semiconductors equipment – an advantage
•Must have solid background in engineering that includes development of real life products
•At least 10+ years of R&D experience, on top of management experience.
