Associate Test Engineer

Group/Division

KLA-Tencor has manufacturing sites across the globe, including Belgium, China, Germany, Israel, Singapore and Milpitas (CA).  The Global Operations (GOPS) team, comprised of Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Installation, and Quality, is responsible for manufacturing our leading-edge technology.  We partner with our world-wide supply base and our design engineering teams to bring new products to market.  The GOPS team is continuously working to build our products Better, Faster, Cheaper.

Responsibilities

 

  • Build, test and troubleshoot engineering prototypes such as boards, cables, power electronics, assembles, etc.
  • Perform required functional bench and system tests on a variety of electronic assemblies.  Products range from simple electronic assemblies to large scale analog and digital printed circuit assemblies.
  • Collaborate with other ATE’s and Manufacturing Engineers to perform test plans including installations.
  • Build, set up and operate test fixtures, debugging equipment, and other complex test equipment.
  • Read complicated schematics and drawings.
  • Utilize mathematics, handbook formulas, and a variety of precision testing and measuring instruments.
  • Perform assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required to determine test methods and resolve problems.
  • Learn quickly and work on several projects simultaneously.
  • Use KT’s quality management system, PDM system, email, MS Word, and MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience testing and troubleshooting complex PCB assemblies down to component level.
  • Be able to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Build, test and troubleshoot electronic prototypes from draft engineering schematics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Technical School with at least 4 years of experience.
