Group/Division

With over 40 years of semiconductor process control experience, chipmakers around the globe rely on KLA-Tencor to ensure that their fabs ramp next-generation devices to volume production quickly and cost-effectively. Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA-Tencor's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA-Tencor’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers.

Central Engineering is KLA-Tencor's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. Talent includes over 500 engineers across global centers in Israel, China, India, and the US. Each CoE contributes not just talent and deliverables per discipline toward product programs, but also subject matter expertise, best practices, roadmaps, specialized facilities, apparatus, models, and analytics. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include full participation in the software development life cycle and create automated tests that proides coverage for test scenarios which help validate the functionality and robustness of the software product that is being created.

  •  Use applicable techniques and create robust automation test suites to meet project needs
  • Develops and executes software test plans/test suites 
  • Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
  • Analyse test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action
  • Reviews software requirement, design, change specifications, and plans
  • Work with hardware, systems, software, algorithm, application groups to understand system requirements and map them to a software testing needs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BE/BS/BTech degree with at least 3  years of SW Testing experience in test automation
  • Good solid experience in  automation tools (like VS Coded UI, Selenium).
  • Good programming skills and Expert level skill in one  of the following in C#, Perl, Python, VBScript
  • Excellent analysis and systematic troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with large software systems /tool application are preferred.
  • Ability to develop/ modify Test Automation Frameworks
  • Ability to react well to changes, multi-task on multiple projects
  • Must be strong detail oriented self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills essential
