The Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division provides industry leading metrology solutions for worldwide semiconductor IC manufacturers. The FaST Division portfolio of metrology products includes hardware and software solutions for optical film thickness, optical critical dimension (CD), composition, and resistivity measurement systems. These products are essential for the IC manufacturers as they provide critical metrology capabilities for the development and implementation of their advanced IC processes. The FaST division is committed to support our customers to achieve performance entitlement of our solution and we effectively partner with our customers from their early research and development phase to the high volume in-line manufacturing implementation specific for their process needs. The division consists of a global team located in US, Israel, China, and India.
Participate on project teams to develop clear specifications, evaluates feasibility of concepts, and provides formal estimates for vision system designs.
Improve the ease of use and reliability of automatically aligning wafers. This includes helping users train good pattern recognition recipes, creating automated routines to analyze quality of pattern recognition and utilize machine learning to make the most reliable pattern recognition algorithms and targets possible. Your goal is to enable zero failures due to pattern recognition / automatic wafer alignment.
Be a key contributor in creating the next generation platform for our films and scatterometry tools. In this role the candidate will optimize and characterize extremely precise motion control systems, robotics and machine choreography (how the machine runs sequences).
Become an expert on how our software controls the machine. This includes motion control, robotics, throughput analysis and machine vision.
Analyze how we currently calibrate and diagnose issues with our automated wafer alignment and robot and stage calibrations. Create and prototype new calibration methods and diagnostics, using Matlab, Python or C#.
Experience in third party image acquisition or processing software
Knowledge of optics and/or lighting for machine vision applications
Knowledge of basic machine vision techniques and applications
The ideal candidate knows how to code to solve cool problems from motion control to signal processing. Proficiency in C# or Python is a plus.
Excel, JMP and / or Matlab expertise is desirable.
Familiarity with the semiconductor, solar or biotech industry is preferable.
Technical knowledge of digital imaging, camera technology, optical systems is required
Good English oral and written communication skills are required
Bachelor's Level Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering with at least 2 years of experience.
