Mentor and lead direct reports to handle Apps characterization projects, including negotiating for resources, alpha characterization, beta testing, and gap analysis. Determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals. Provide guidance to subordinates within the latitude of established company policies. Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect immediate organizations. Create development plan for direct reports, including creating opportunities to work on areas for improvement. Perform cross-platform characterization projects between Darkfield and SWIFT inspection products to assess relative performance on key industry applications. Use knowledge of the industry and inspection tool strengths and weaknesses to make recommendations to Engineering and Marketing on product positioning, improvements in products, and inform roadmap decisions. Research, initiate, evaluate, and propose new product features in support of customer requirements. Participate in design development, design reviews, and design testing and ensure performance at the end user ultimately meets or exceeds requirements.
Employer will accept Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field followed by 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the position offered or in an applications engineering-related occupation.
