The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.
This job opening is in the CEG (Customer Engagement Group) of KLA-Tencor’s RAPID (Reticle And Photomask Inspection Division) product group. The products that will be supported by this engineer are reticle defect inspection tools and iPro reticle registration tools. As a CEG Applications Engineer in RAPID, the employee is expected to support the following:
Travel to customer sites will be required; this engineer will support RAPID customers in northwestern US. The estimated travel requirement is 50%.
The employee is also expected to document all test results and lessons learned in BKMs (Best Known Methods), training documents, Demo reports, or, Alpha/Beta test reports.
To achieve satisfactory results, the employee is expected to work closely with many other function groups in RAPID including Engineering, Sales and Marketing. The employee is also expected to work closely with external customer engineers; when doing so, the employee must represent KLA-Tencor in a professional manner that will build trust and long lasting working relationships. Therefore, clear verbal and written communication skills are critical.
The individual must have excellent communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills. The individual must also be self-driven, yet a strong team player.
The individual must be able to effectively communicate complex technical topics through email, conference calls and face-to-face meetings.
Doctorate (Academic) with 5 or more years of experience in the semiconductory industry, OR a Master's or Bachelor's degree with 10 or more years of experience.
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience. OR Master's Level Degree with at least 4 years of experience.
