The RAPID division is the world leading provider of reticle inspection solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides inspection solutions to both the mask shops and the semiconductor fabs to ensure that lithography yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing.
Generally the person in this position designs, develops, and tests optical systems. He/she Interacts with hardware and software design teams to assist in overall development of the optical systems and develop new technologies for the inspection systems. Tasks include specifying, selecting, and qualifying optical components, developing and benchmarking system performance models, developing and implementing test procedures, and evaluating and selecting appropriate test instrumentation. As a senior design engineer, the applicant will work closely with the systems group to develop the fundamental specifications that will determine final system performance.
The preferred candidate will have experience in the following areas:
Statistical lens tolerancing
Ghost and stray light analysis
Specification of precision opto-mechanical assemblies
Design for manufacturing
Hands-on lab work
Proficiency in CodeV or Zemax
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor's Level Degree with at least 7 years of experience.
Master's Level Degree with at least 6 years of experience.
Doctorate (Academic) with at least 5 years of experience.
